The Best Days of Your Life are Yet to Come

What a year it's been! 2012 has flown by so fast and I can't help but wonder if God was playing tricks on us by fast forwarding time. But I guess if one has much to do, 24hours is never enough.

This is my last post for 2012, and my aim is to inspire and motivate you, my reader with a message of hope that will lift up your spirit.

Many of us started the year praying for a need to be met. Whether it was for a car ( tired of taking tro-tro), a job ( unemployed for 6 months) , marriage ( single and searching for sometime), healing ( sickness ravaging you or a family member) , a child ( married and childless), etc. Many of us resolved to achieve some set objectives by the end of 2012 ( by hook or crook) whether it was God-sent or not. Today is the last Sunday of the year and there is nothing in sight with regards to any of these things. Are you feeling frustrated? Depressed? Let down? Hopeless? Spiritually tired? Rejected and abandoned by God and people? It's normal. These feelings are normal because we are human but you should rise amid these negative emotions and be thankful for how far God has brought you! Don't give up because of this one thing you are still waiting on God for. It's by grace that you are where you are today, whether you believe there is a God or not! Life is always full of challenges, we will face both good and bad times, how we deal with the bad times is what makes us stronger and pushes us closer to our breakthrough.

People have disappointed us in one way or the other. You were denied a promotion, your partner broke your heart, your spouse cheated on you, your best friend mistreated you or your business partner stole a contract. Don't worry! God has plans to bring you to an expected end ( where you desire to be) and He who has promised is faithful so you are sure to receive it. Instead of focusing on what you don't have, look at what you have been blessed with now and know that someone out there is also praying to get what you have.

Speak more often to God and not on Facebook. Too many people are expressing their frustrations in life on Facebook instead of going to their Heavenly Father they expose so much of their negativity and emotions for all to know. There is someone out there laughing at your predicament and disappointments. Cast your cares upon God and not unto Facebook.

It's not been easy for me as many people may see, if I start telling you about my disappointments, frustrations, I might end up writing a book! God has held me up in moments when I have felt like letting go and by Grace I can still smile at the world. In times when I have expressed my challenges and feelings of quitting to people, their response has been , 'if that's the decision you want to take!' I did not get any encouragement whatsoever which is not what one needs in moments of tiredness and stress. Every person needs an encouraging word, a shoulder to lean on, a hand to hold them up, a call to check on them or sometimes a simple thing like a smile. We are slowly taking these things for granted as we are becoming more selfish in a materialistic world. Pray for grace to be happy for those who have received their blessings. Don't be envious of what someone else has. Your time will come for there is a time and season for everything. Not everything you see on Facebook is real so don't believe everything you read.

Thank God for your life if you have life and you are reading this. You have not seen your best days yet! There is so much victory ahead for you in 2013 in every area of your life. Fight the good fight and do not give up when life strikes you a blow, get back up and continue fighting! Winners are never without bruises or scratches.
Keep faith and trust in God and not in man for man will disappoint you. If you got married this year, congratulations! Love your wife unconditionally as God commands (So husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself. (Ephesians 5:28 NKJV)), Respect your husband (Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. (Ephesians 5:22 NKJV)). Talk to each other as communication is so key to building trust and love in your relationship. May 2013 bring good health, no death, much wealth, much love and peace.

Never see yourself as being insufficient or not pretty enough. You are a of a royal priesthood and there is so much power in you! Don't look to other gods who powerless. Give in order to receive. Laugh, Love and Pray!

I will end here with a great quote by Bob Marley on love for those seeking love and those who found it :) HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

“Only once in your life, I truly believe, you find someone who can completely turn your world around. You tell them things that you’ve never shared with another soul and they absorb everything you say and actually want to hear more. You share hopes for the future, dreams that will never come true, goals that were never achieved and the many disappointments life has thrown at you. When something wonderful happens, you can’t wait to tell them about it, knowing they will share in your excitement. They are not embarrassed to cry with you when you are hurting or laugh with you when you make a fool of yourself. Never do they hurt your feelings or make you feel like you are not good enough, but rather they build you up and show you the things about yourself that make you special and even beautiful. There is never any pressure, jealousy or competition but only a quiet calmness when they are around. You can be yourself and not worry about what they will think of you because they love you for who you are. The things that seem insignificant to most people such as a note, song or walk become invaluable treasures kept safe in your heart to cherish forever. Memories of your childhood come back and are so clear and vivid it’s like being young again. Colours seem brighter and more brilliant. Laughter seems part of daily life where before it was infrequent or didn’t exist at all. A phone call or two during the day helps to get you through a long day’s work and always brings a smile to your face. In their presence, there’s no need for continuous conversation, but you find you’re quite content in just having them nearby. Things that never interested you before become fascinating because you know they are important to this person who is so special to you. You think of this person on every occasion and in everything you do. Simple things bring them to mind like a pale blue sky, gentle wind or even a storm cloud on the horizon. You open your heart knowing that there’s a chance it may be broken one day and in opening your heart, you experience a love and joy that you never dreamed possible. You find that being vulnerable is the only way to allow your heart to feel true pleasure that’s so real it scares you. You find strength in knowing you have a true friend and possibly a soul mate who will remain loyal to the end. Life seems completely different, exciting and worthwhile. Your only hope and security is in knowing that they are a part of your life.”
