Vodafone Ghana Music Awards - The Fashion Trends

If awards were to be given to best dressed and best looks at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (#VGMA2014), there would have been a select few amongst some personalities who turned up at the event.

It was fascinating to note the beauty and fashion trends at the event which ranged from long shimmering gowns to deep v-necked dresses and not forgetting cut-out dresses. Bold eyebrows was also a make-up trend with bold red lipsticks to match. The men also came out in suits, traditional wear and lots of swag.

Here are a select few of my favourite dresses and trends at the 15th Ghana Music Awards event held at the Accra Conference Centre last night.

Presenter at Glam TV

This green stunning dress with the hint of lace covering the deep plunging neckline was coyly seductive yet made this presenter stand out nicely from others.

This stunning bejewelled dress was a personal favourite of mine, the minimum or no use of accessories completed the look to make the dress send out its message. Nice one!

Jeremie nailed the red carpet in her spiked red platforms and minty green grown. The big cuff bracelets went perfect with the gold clutch. Maybe not the earrings so much but the ensemble was fabulous.

I found this ethnic number very interesting and unique. Nice going girls. Oh not forgetting the green toe nails. Cute.

Kente is a busy print and the attempt to use it as a gown wasn't bad which means having to keep everything else as minimal as possible.

Joey B. revved up with skinny pants and a turtle-neck tee topping it off with a taupe jacket. Nice hat but not a Pharrell's hat though. :-)

BOLA RAY.

Pokello Nare wore another personal favourite made by Elikem her boyfriend/fiance who proposed to her live on stage during the awards ceremony. Not sure about the whole transparency aspect though.

Stunning lacy gown set off with a peachy shimmering sleeveless top.

JOEY B. & MISS MALAIKA 2013 NAA OYOE QUARTEY

Naa Oyoe looked beautiful in this pink lacy dress. One thing which crossed my mind though; do beauty queens have to wear their crowns and sash to every event? *shrugs*

Stone Bwoy

Look at the blinks on Stone Bwoy! He didn't overdo it though and kept it black and gold with his HTW beads.

Which outfit do you think will get your best dressed award, if it were up to you? Share your comments and lets talk about it!
