Fifa releases the first song for Qatar World cup 2022 hayya Hayya (BETTER TOGETHER)

World Cup Qatar 2022 is already here and the qualifying countries already know their “death groupings”! And following right on the heels of the Group draws, FIFA the global football governing body has released the first official soundtrack for the upcoming colossal games.

Hayya Hayya (Better Together) is the first of many singles that will be released and collated as the official World Cup Qatar 2022 soundtrack . The upbeat and a definite trendy song features Trinidad Cardona, Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Davido and Aisha, draws on R&B and reggae influences.

The song instantly puts you in a celebratory mood and reminds me of Shakira’s Waka Waka another official FIFA World Cup hit song.

Can i be honest and say this is the first time I am hearing of Trinidad and Qatari Aisha ? 🙈Buei! But what a sound all three musicians produce on this song! It’s uplifting and inspirational and exactly what this world needs in a time of a pandemic and a devastating ongoing war between Russia & Ukraine.

Aisha had this to say regarding her part in the collaboration, “I am blessed and honoured to exist in these exciting times, where I get to witness and be part of this huge milestone for my country, Qatar. The song’s message of togetherness and joy resonated with me as joy was present with us throughout the journey of making this song. It is a dream come true to perform for the FIFA World Cup final draw and be part of such an important song.” Aisha is one of Qatar’s most popular singers, with her talent, drive and passion having led to headlining performances around the world, including at the United Nations General Assembly in New York and at the grand opening of Doha Festival City.

The music video was also shown during the final draw which looked glitzy with sports, music and movie celebrities present. You can follow the official FIFA TikTok channel for BTS

It is the first time that the tournament’s soundtrack will feature a multi-song collection, with international artists showcasing diverse musical genres that span the world, setting the tone for a truly global celebration. What do you think of the song? It’s just okay? A mover? Comment below! I am excited to see who else shows up on the soundtrack list in the coming days!
